Biboul music reflects his musical multicultural history, with his childhood in Cameroon until the break through as an international musician. Born in Cameroon, then Syria, Copenhagen, Paris and Munich: His music combines this cultural influences to a very unique sound. Thousands of years old rhythms and melodies, that are part of the Bantu traditional music, merge with western Jazz- and Pop-Culture.
The polyrhythmic interaction and colorful improvisations create a driving pulse that takes the audience on an unforgettable voyage of discovery. – „No matter the syle, I´m caleidoscoping the groove“. Biboul sings in his native language Ewondo as well as in English and French.
He has escaped uniformity, that the academic study of rhythms and their secrets often entails. Up to today Biboul Darouiche has been able to maintain a vibrant immediacy of expression as well as the versatility of a musician, who is driven by curiosity and the joy of discovery.
